Begin an Online Consultation

If you would like an online "consultation" rather than wait for an in-person consultation, Freking & Betz will provide a legal opinion to you based upon information that you provide to our firm via e-mail. Simply click the "Begin an Online Consultation" link and complete the questionnaire that has been developed to facilitate such a consultation. You may fax one additional document that needs to be reviewed to (513) 651-2570. If you need more space or have more than one document to review, you probably need an in-person consultation.

Online consultations are not for everyone, and you should carefully weigh the advantages and disadvantages of this non-traditional service. In addition, individuals employed in states other than Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana will receive advice on federal law only, and not the law of the state in which they are employed.

Although each individual circumstances is unique, some of the advantages of online consultations are the following:

  • more prompt legal advice (usually within 72 hours)
  • a written opinion (as opposed to a verbal opinion during or shortly after in-person consultation)
  • no time pressure, unlike a 30-60 minute meeting
  • no waiting in lobby if in-person consultation attorney is behind schedule
  • no travel, parking
  • less expensive ($160 versus a higher in-person fee)

Some of the disadvantages of an Online Consultation may be the following:

  • loss of interpersonal interaction with attorney
  • requires complete response to questionnaire with no opportunity to "fill in the gaps"
  • credit card needed to pay via website

Regardless of the type of consultation, you can be assured that Freking & Betz will provide reasoned advice based upon our substantial experience representing employees. Our advice usually includes recommendations as to whether you should take action, the goal of our representation if you retain our firm, and the expected cost of further legal action. Only rarely will we recommend or agree to represent an individual in litigation without first attempting to conduct an investigation.
