Randy Freking, a founder of Freking & Betz, is Chair of the Cincinnati Employment Lawyers Association. A graduate of the Ohio State University College of Law, Randy has represented five different plaintiffs since 1994 who have received jury verdicts of at least one million dollars in damages. During the same time span, he has been trial counsel for 17 other individual plaintiffs who have received substantial jury verdicts, and he represented a class of 150 former employees in a plant closing case which was settled on a favorable basis. Randy has been included in every edition of "Best Lawyers in America" since 1994, he is an avid Cincinnati Reds fan, and he lives in Cincinnati with his wife and four children.

Sheila Smith, a partner in Freking & Betz, has dedicated her law career to representing employees in employment matters. She has represented hundreds of employees, and has won two multimillion dollar jury verdicts and two significant pro-employee decisions in the appeals courts. The law is Sheila’s second career; she was an engineer for a large corporation for eleven years prior to studying law. She is a published law review author and frequent speaker on employment law topics, and has been included in various "Who’s Who" publications since 1993. Sheila is a Chicago native transplanted to Cincinnati in 1981, and received her engineering degree from Purdue University and her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati.

Carrie Atkins Barron joined Freking & Betz in 1996 and practices exclusively in the area of employment law representing both current and former employees. Carrie received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington and is admitted to practice law in Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. She is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association and the Cincinnati chapter, and lectures on various employment law topics. Carrie also serves as an arbitrator for the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas. She lives in Cincinnati with her family.

Kelly Mulloy Myers received her Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and earned a Masters in Labor and Employment Relations from University of Cincinnati. Kelly was one of the first attorneys in the State of Ohio to be certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a specialist in Labor and Employment Law. Kelly is an active member of the National Employment Lawyer's Association and it's local counterpart, the Cincinnati Employment Lawyer's Association. She serves as a volunteer arbitrator for the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas, is a member of the City of Cheviot Civil Service Commission, and is also licensed to practice law in Kentucky. Kelly is also active in the Cincinnati Bar Association, currently serving as a member of its Board of Trustees.

Megan is a life-long Cincinnatian with strong ties to the local community. After a year of post-college volunteer work, she went to law school at Indiana University-Indianapolis where she graduated magna cum laude and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Indiana Law Review. She then spent two years as a law clerk for a federal Magistrate Judge in the federal court system. There, she grew to love the advocacy process, which fueled her desire to return to Cincinnati and become a litigator in the employment area. Since 1997 she has practiced law in Cincinnati and has enjoyed the opportunity to obtain many favorable resolutions for clients in front of juries, judges, and administrative forums. She presently serves as an advocate for employees, former employees, and individuals in all types of employment related matters. She also serves as a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association and its Cincinnati and Ohio counterparts and as a Board member for a local organization fostering work opportunities for persons with mental and physical disabilities.

George Reul is a graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Law and a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington. Since graduating from Vanderbilt he has focused his legal practice on employment law representing current and former employees. Since 1998, George has participated in jury trials in both state and federal court in Ohio and received favorable jury verdicts. He has also represented employees at the Ohio Court of Claims, as well as in mediation and arbitration. George is a member of the Cincinnati, Ohio, and National Employment Lawyers Associations, as well as the Cincinnati, Ohio, and American Bar Associations.

Mark Napier is a trial lawyer who after serving as an assistant county prosecuting attorney has been in private practice for over twenty-five years. Mark represents persons who have been victims of illegal discrimination in their employment or have been injured in motor vehicle or other type accidents. He is a Board Member of the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers and the Hamilton County Trial Lawyers Association. He is also a member of various national, state, and local bar associations, including the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the National Employment Lawyers Association. He has served as a lecturer to other attorneys on both employment law and personal injury topics. He is a graduate of Ohio Northern University School of Law where he served as an Associate Editor for the Law Review.

Charlie McGinnis is a trial lawyer with over 25 years experience representing working people and providing for their legal needs. Charlie represents injured individuals and provides our clients with estate planning and probate court representation. He has taught attorney continuing education courses on trusts, wills and estate planning and been a frequent lecturer for union, pre-retirement and retiree groups. A member of the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers as well as other national, state and local bar associations, he currently serves on the Cincinnati Bar Association Ethics Committee. Charlie also served as Executive Director of the Ohio Legal Services Fund and is a graduate of the University of Toledo College of Law. He and his wife are active in various community groups and are avid martial artists.

Leanne Montgomery is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where she served as Articles Editor on the Law Review Board. During law school and prior to joining Freking & Betz in 2003, Leanne interned or practiced in the areas of estate planning and civil rights law. Leanne represents current and terminated employees and practices in estate planning and probate law. Leanne is a member of the national, state and local Bar associations, and a practicing member of the Ohio Bar and Southern District of Ohio Bar.

Ann Koize Wittenauer is a life-long resident of Cincinnati and attended the University of Cincinnati Law School where she was a member of Law Review and served as President of the Law Student Diversity Association. After graduation, she served as a clerk for a Senior United States District Court Judge. Before becoming an attorney, Ann taught high school English and History. She lives with her husband and sons in Cincinnati.

Tod Thompson received his Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and earned a Masters in Philosophy from the University of Toledo. Tod litigates before the Ohio State Bar, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Tod has instructed courses in philosophy, logic and ethics at The University of Toledo and other Ohio colleges. Tod is a member of the National, Ohio and Cincinnati Employment Lawyers Associations, and the Ohio and Cincinnati Bar Associations.

Elizabeth Loring received her Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law where she served as Student Articles Editor of the College's Law Review. A native of the Boston, Massachusetts area, she received her undergraduate degree from Boston University. Prior to her legal studies, Lisa enjoyed several years in the event management and marketing industry. Her practice focuses on all aspects of employment law and litigation, including discrimination, contractual and wage dispute. Lisa is a practicing member of both the Ohio Bar and Southern District of Ohio Bar, and also of the Cincinnati, Ohio and National Employment Lawyers Associations.
